Mahal Kong Manila begins with an exploration of silhouettes
and patterns that elevate our day-to-day—taking inspiration
from the native flora of the Philippines, the shifting of colors
with the setting sun, and the pieces that carry fragments
of our childhood.
Each design celebrates the craftsmanship and innovation
of our artisans: tracing the intricacy of woven piña
from a community of weavers in Aklan to an atelier that tailors
each garment by hand. Through this, we hope to share
the beauty of piña and encourage its daily wear.
This collection offers pieces born from our consciousness,
embracing the rich history embedded in our namesake and the contemporary lifestyles of the diverse people who call it home.
